About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Level Mechanical Engineer to support various systems in the Radar Technologies Division. This position will provide mechanical/electrical engineering support to ensure procedural documents are accurate and correct.

Requirements

• Professional experience in the mechanical design of shipboard radar systems.
• Demonstrate expertise in corrosion prevention in marine environment, in DC and AC motor design and gear assemblies, in thermal modeling, 3D modeling for assessment of mechanical stresses (Vibration, Loading, Thermal, etc.).
• Must be a US Citizen.
• An Active Secret Clearance is required or be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of secret or higher, interim may be required before starting.
• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop procedures with initial guidance and in-process review from Government subject matter experts (SME).
• Implement Government SME comments as part of this support tasking.
• Review performance specification/performance requirements to identify test parameters necessary to establish radar subsystems test capability.
• Design multi-functional test stations capable of energizing/testing Radar subcomponent performance parameters.
• Analyze test data.
• Update performance requirements as necessary to meet ever changing needs.
