Mechanical Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a passionate Sr. Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a cohesive engineering team. Our projects range from complete vehicle engineering and builds to cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning applications in AgTech and Industrial Automation. We also work on aerospace mechanical and control systems, connected car and vehicle telematics, and large battery systems. This role offers an opportunity to design, engineer, and test innovative projects with a rapid completion timeline, allowing for diverse and exciting work throughout the year.
Requirements
- Proficiency in mechanical design and SolidWorks.
- Experience with sheet metal, GD&T, and new product development.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required, Master's or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct engineering experience in the automotive industry and/or engineering services.
Nice To Haves
- Formula SAE Team Lead experience preferred.
- Generalist involvement in systems-level design with cross-functional team experience.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining quality, timing, and budget constraints.
- Experience in planning, managing, and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts.
- Past experience in a startup or small business environment.
- Strong communication skills to connect with clients and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer projects in-house, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Test designs and oversee complete vehicle engineering and builds.
- Collaborate on computer vision and machine learning applications in AgTech and Industrial Automation.
- Work on aerospace mechanical and control systems, connected car and vehicle telematics, and large battery systems.
- Complete projects efficiently within weeks or months, maintaining high standards of excellence.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to deliver exceptional products for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 firms.
