The Systems and Mechanical Engineering team is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer of our New Castle office at the TA Instruments business unit. Working in the R&D organization at TA Instruments – Waters LLC. You will have a unique opportunity to impact a broad range of industries including Electric Cars, 3D Printing, Energy Storage and Batteries, Pharmaceutical, Polymers, etc. developing life changing and innovative products. You will play a key role in driving innovation and developing concepts for new measurement technologies in material characterization, working with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers. This role emphasizes rapid risk retirement through fast prototyping and concept evaluation, supporting priority new product development and research projects, and collaborating across business functions to deliver solutions that meet market and customer needs. Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to Conceive and develop concepts to meet the customer requirements Prototype and evaluate concepts rapidly, identify risks early, and develop targeted test plans for efficient mitigation and rapid development cycles Communicate status, results, conclusions, and next steps with clarity, highlighting impact and actionable plans. Integrate mechanical, electronics, controls, and coding into prototypes to accelerate concept evaluation and enable rapid iterations for efficient product development. Participate and lead design reviews and provide feedback where appropriate in collaboration with multidiscipline team Work with project and product management leads on technical ideation and risk retirement strategies and solutions Work closely with the Engineers and cross-functional team to develop product designs Communicate concerns/suggestions/improvements relating to engineering concerns and product life cycle management Ensure full documentation of mechanical design including BOM, drawings, and procedures Propose and conduct simulations where relevant The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following
