About the position
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, will lead the mechanical discipline team through various projects from concept to construction completion. This role involves designing sustainable mechanical systems for buildings across multiple sectors, including Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, and Hospitality. The engineer will ensure the quality of engineering designs meets both code and client expectations while managing project teams and participating in budgeting and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical discipline team through projects from early concept to construction completion.
- Design and plan sustainable mechanical systems for buildings and facilities.
- Lead technical communication with clients on MEP topics and act as Engineer of Record.
- Ensure overall quality of engineering design, including compliance with Code and Client's expectations.
- Manage assigned project teams and participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Current PE license.
- High level of technical expertise in HVAC design.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Nice-to-haves
- LEED AP BD+C accreditation
- WELL Certification
- Proficiency in software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, IES, MS Office.
