About The Position

Zachry Group is looking for a Senior Engineer, Mechanical to join our Engineering Design Center located in Houston, TX. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible in the design office for leading engineering and design tasks of the assigned projects based on specific and detailed instructions received from the assigned supervisor as to the required tasks and results expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with CAD software, including SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and design staff

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design tasks of assigned projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met
• Develop and implement design solutions that meet project requirements and company standards
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design drawings and reports
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and design staff
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success
