We are seeking dynamic leaders with a proven track record in project management and MEP system design, ready to drive innovation in our diverse range of projects. We are currently accepting applications for a Licensed (PE) Mechanical Engineer at a Senior Associate level to join our team in Santa Ana, Pasadena, or San Francisco. This role is on a hybrid schedule with Monday and Tuesday in the office each week with site visits and work from home for the remainder of the week.

Requirements

  • BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical specialty preferred, PE
  • 15 or more years of experience in the engineering design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management successes
  • HVAC and plumbing system expertise
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems
  • Working knowledge of national and state building codes
  • Experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, WUFI analysis, commissioning and sustainability consulting
  • Ability to assess MEP systems, report on issues found, and problem-solve on behalf of clients
  • Ability to integrate interest in Sustainability with practical legal requirements
  • Ability to market services to existing and new clients
  • LEED or CEM certificates are a plus
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid and Box

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property condition assessments (PCAs)
  • Provide estimations of probable costs
  • Peer review building designs
  • Perform energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management and design and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Interact with site personnel and clients in both technical and non-technical terms
  • Engage in a diverse array of projects offering unique challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact
  • Travel to project sites is required
