About The Position

In this role, you will support Mechanical Engineers in developing engineering design drawings for plumbing, fire protection, diesel, and HVAC systems.

Requirements

• Level 1: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
• Level 2: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
• Must be a US citizen.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
• Prior experience with industry-wide design/drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, PDS2D, PDS3D, Smartplant P&ID and their component databases.
• Experience working in a project team environment to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug and background check, which includes verification of employment and education.
• Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME NQA-1, or AS9100D.
• Possess active security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2-D CAD intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on sketches and marked-up prints.
• Review drawings and documents prepared by others to ensure incorporation of drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and other national standards, as required.
• Identify and recommend solutions to conflicts in the design and mark-ups.
• Mentor Mechanical designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development
• Responsible for data integrity of components list.
• Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
