Our Manufacturing Engineers work with our Shop Technicians to develop and maintain the processes that safely produce our products correctly, on-time and within budget. As an Engineer at our Aberdeen facility you will be responsible for using design and technical skills to add to the further success of the BAE Systems Aberdeen manufacturing plant. This will involve working with teams to identify problems and using design skills to put together solutions. The job will involve working with team players consisting of engineers, shop technicians, vendors, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Technical discipline) or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Solid problem solving and analytical abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of statistical process controls.
• Electronic manufacturing software experience such as Oracle and TipQA.
• Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Using design and technical skills to add to the further success of the BAE Systems Aberdeen manufacturing plant.
• Working with teams to identify problems and using design skills to put together solutions.
• Design of tools, fixtures, material handling and other manufacturing equipment.
• Conducting analytical/structural analysis, including the use of FEA tools and general engineering calculations to determine safety margins.
• Detailing drawings of designs and working with vendors to have the designs fabricated.
• Providing manufacturing documentation support including the use of 3D CAD images for manufacturing procedures.
