The Senior MDM Cloud Data Architect at Mass General Brigham Digital will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the architectural design for Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This position focuses on creating a robust data ecosystem that enhances healthcare delivery through effective data management practices. The architect will work with various data sources, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability of MDM solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate and manage master data effectively.

  • Develop the architectural design for Master Data Management domain technical solutions.
  • Ensure the design is highly performant, reliable, and scalable.
  • Document, maintain, and create master data related data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Drive understanding of master data acquisition, archival, and recovery policies.
  • Partner with the Architecture team to develop user-friendly MDM data models.
  • Create and maintain master data data-dictionaries for domains in scope.
  • Perform architectural planning, MDM data modeling, proof-of-concept, and development.
  • Collaborate with Data Quality & Data Governance Organization to monitor master data quality.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and implement robust business processes for MDM lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes, procedures, standards, and best practices for MDM development and operations.
  • Lead technical reviews of development work to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  • Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in architecture, designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on MDM experience in MDM Strategy, Architecture, Design, Integration, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in designing, configuring, and deploying MDM solutions on a leading platform (e.g., Profisee, Reltio, Stibo).
  • Strong experience with SQL.
  • Experience working with FHIR & HL7 standards.
  • Experience in data integration (batch and/or API), data quality, and data integrity concepts.
  • Knowledge of enterprise source systems and systems that consume master & reference data, including CRM, ERP, and Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence.
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong data modeling skills (Relational & dimensional).
  • Understanding of key master entities/domains such as Individuals, Organizations, Products, Locations, and Assets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand current systems and propose new architecture by identifying gaps & flaws.
  • Strong consultative skills, understanding business needs and translating those needs to technical requirements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to craft solutions for diverse business needs.
  • Ability to establish trusted relationships across the organization and collaborate with multi-functional teams.
