About The Position

As a Materials and Processes Engineer Sr. at Lockheed Martin Space, you will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of projects within the Commercial Civil Space sector. This position involves collaborating with designers, suppliers, and engineers across multiple disciplines to develop and evaluate innovative technologies. You will lead a team of engineers, manage technical tasks, and ensure that project documentation meets customer and company requirements, all while contributing to the advancement of aerospace hardware.

Requirements

• Professional experience in the Aerospace Industry or in a related Engineering field.
• Expertise in PMP Engineering or related field (specifications, product development, qualification/screening, receiving inspection).
• Experience and/or knowledge in the design and manufacture of aerospace hardware.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, bill of materials, and program standardization processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior PMP aerospace program Experience.
• Prior technical leadership experience.
• Significant direct experience supporting manufacture of aerospace hardware.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task, with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, direct, review and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.
• Oversee delivery of contract deliverables, PMP plan creation and maintenance, Materials and Processes lists and other PMP related documents.
• Lead Materials and Processes Engineering team in support of hardware design, advanced manufacturing, subcontractors and testing.
• Manage daily technical tasks for Materials and Processes Engineering team.
• Develop and mentor a team of Materials and Process Engineers.
• Have a direct role in Materials and Processes selection, qualification, testing, and failures.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.
