About The Position

Responsible for leading the management and execution of digital marketing journeys or campaigns using marketing automation platforms and technology. Work closely with marketing team members and internal clients to establish email strategy, build audience segmentation, execute distribution administration (automated, triggered, single blast), and provide analytics and measurement for digital marketing journeys and campaigns. Responsible for adhering to all email best practices and guidelines, ensuring all journeys and campaigns are delivered on time, meeting quality standards. Make recommendations that contribute to successes and growth by continuously staying on top of state of the art marketing technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or related field.
  • 6-8 years' experience in email marketing, including list management, HTML development, engaged in website, social, video, mobile, search, marketing, online advertising or integrated campaigns.
  • 2-4 years' experience in Marketing Automation (i.e. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing, design, and testing platform(s).
  • Experience with online strategy, content development and usability experience.
  • Experience working across Marketing teams, Client Success, Sales, UX, Product and BI.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end implementation across Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of data, data extensions, data relationships, and ability to translate customer requirements to the use of their data throughout their marketing automation ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of database management concepts.
  • Knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Ampscript, SSJS and SQL.
  • Proficiency in HTML.
  • Ability to own and manage business system requirements for projects.
  • Extremely strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creativity, ingenuity and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong initiative, organizational ability, time-management skills and the ability to work cross functionally to meet aggressive deadlines and the ability to reprioritize constantly changing needs.

  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized experiences using marketing automation platforms to automate and optimize customer journeys.
  • Maintain standard methodologies for marketing automation platforms, including troubleshooting, naming conventions, list management, and more.
  • Build emails and templates with HTML/CSS including dynamic content using Ampscript.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure successful integration of marketing automation as part of the overall client experience.
  • Consult with marketing technology platform technical resources on solutions, create and enter tickets in platform, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Utilize user experience research methodology to develop A/B and multivariate testing, and provide feedback and recommendations to optimize digital marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage dynamic content capabilities to test, improve, and optimize customer journeys.
  • Monitor journey and campaign execution metrics.
  • Partner with Marketing Automation Developer to define and implement new platform features and integrations to successfully deliver and improve marketing automation and reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee user testing and Quality Assurance (QA) processes to ensure quality and integrity of automated programs developed.
  • Research, test and apply best practices to improve marketing automation performance.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of the Marketing Automation strategy.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and clients on specific campaign details.
  • Build, test, and approve email campaigns using template email editors.
  • Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and distribute campaign performance to the marketing team with proven ability to define and act upon data-driven insights.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and providing solutions to technical errors and technology misconfiguration.
