About The Position

The Senior Marketing Channel Analyst at Designer Brands is a pivotal role focused on optimizing DSW's paid acquisition and advertising expenditures. This position is responsible for leading the development of acquisition analytics systems, collaborating with various teams across Marketing and the Analytics Center of Excellence. The analyst will conduct comprehensive analytics across multiple channels, including shop, search, affiliates, retargeting, social media, streaming, linear video, audio, and direct mail. The role requires a strategic mindset to manage and enhance the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through data-driven insights. In this role, the Senior Marketing Channel Analyst will manage Adobe Analytics tracking and the BigQuery data warehouse systems, transitioning acquisition tracking and attribution from third-party ad platforms to internal systems. The analyst will own the creation of weekly dashboards and perform ad-hoc analyses to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the marketing and finance teams across various acquisition channels. Additionally, the analyst will manage attribution models that account for both click-through and view-through channels, as well as online and offline results. The position also involves overseeing the hold-out testing process to improve incrementality estimates and guiding teams in planning and analyzing ad-hoc statistically significant tests. The analyst will validate estimates of offline retail store sales to assess the impact of acquisition channel spending and measure overall effectiveness. By applying customer insights and retention estimates, the analyst will enhance the performance of acquisition marketing channels. Collaboration with the Acquisition team and Finance partners is essential, leveraging the latest tools and best practices from the Analytics Center of Excellence.
