About The Position

The Senior Leader is responsible for leading all warehousing, material handling and inventory management operations for a mid-volume, large equipment manufacturing facility. This role ensures operational excellence across inventory management, material flow, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The role involves developing expertise and growing reputation within the function, providing professional or thought leadership, and influencing policy and delivery within the function, linking with other organizational functions. This leader may lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity, presenting business solutions to functional leaders. They are expected to communicate complex messages, negotiate internally and externally, and influence peers and external partners. The position holds major influence over a small business unit, a segment within a larger business unit, a family within a Function or a P&L business segment, and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is guided by functional policy and influences policy/operating guidelines on important subjects, leading others to find creative solutions to complex problems and evaluating information quality for analysis.

Requirements

  • For roles outside of the USA: Significant experience in Quality & Process Improvement.
  • For roles outside of the USA: Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA: Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
  • Certified, or in process of certification, Lean Six Sigma (BB / MBB).

  • Ensure operational excellence across inventory management, material flow, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships.
