About The Position

Join our exciting team as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician! Endologix LLC is a California-based, global medical device company dedicated to improving patients' lives by providing innovative therapies for the interventional treatment of vascular disease. We have a therapeutic portfolio designed to treat diseases which currently have clinically relevant unmet needs. Our existing products can treat a wide spectrum of vascular disease through abdominal aortic aneurysms to lower limb peripheral vascular disease. We obtain excellent clinical outcomes through meticulous attention to product design, manufacturing, and training, all backed by industry-leading clinical evidence. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician will assist Engineers in the execution and documentation of protocols and reports. Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair on a variety of manufacturing equipment, circuits, components, analytical equipment, and instrumentation for the laboratory. May create CAD designs, develop test specifications, and electrical schematics. Maintains all required documentation and logs. May analyze results and prepare technical reports with recommendations for solutions to technical problems.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and AA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years Engineering technician experience, medical device industry preferred.
  • Drafting knowledge, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting moderately complex equipment, preferred.
  • Experience using basic machine shop equipment, preferred.
  • Experience with product or process improvements using tools such as; LEAN, Six-Sigma, DMAIC, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, GMP practices, and FDA regulations.
  • Maintain good knowledge of current process methods, documentation and procedures.
  • Proactively communicate process problems to management.
  • Assist engineers in product & process qualifications and testing according to specifications.
  • Complete projects in a manner consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Complete and/or create protocol and report documentation with minimal assistance.
  • Perform preventive service and repair to equipment, small machinery and manufacturing process tools.
  • Perform Equipment Installation & Operational Qualification (IOQ) testing according to specifications.
  • Recommend and support process development for prototypes (tools, fixtures, etc.) and pilot production of new products, product changes and enhancements with Manufacturing and Quality Control functions.
  • Assemble prototype devices, test equipment, and tooling according to verbal and/or written specifications.
  • Be able to use the electrical hand tools and various other hand tools located in the Tool Room.
  • Work on technically complex assignments which require sound judgment and initiative, based on engineering principles.
  • Capable of resolving problems and/or making technically rationale recommendations.
  • May determine design changes and tests methods on new assignments and may provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel.
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives in support of Operations/ Engineering projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
