The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Leader will lead a team of manufacturing engineers supporting GE Aerospace internal shops and suppliers aligning to conventional machining technologies. This role aligns team tasks and projects with GE Aerospace priorities and the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model. The leader is responsible for setting performance measures, providing tools (processes, standards, training), and driving continuous improvement in these areas. Additionally, the leader supports escalations by ensuring resources and direction are available and senior leadership is actively informed. The leader will actively participate in projects to execute, learn, and train team members to standards. This role involves supporting the development and execution of a strategy to modernize and scale our manufacturing processes across GE Aerospace and improve new product introduction (NPI) cycles and quality. Key elements within this strategy will involve expanding our machining process capability, supporting the integration of automation systems and methods, and introducing technologies and methods to increase safety, process control, and cycle reduction. This role requires a strategic mindset, in-depth understanding of machining operations, and a proven track record for leading technical teams through NPI programs with significant production ramps and similar technical project execution.
