About The Position

As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead a team responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. You will develop and oversee the implementation of efficient manufacturing processes, process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will report directly to our Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and you’ll work onsite out of our Torrance, CA location. In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by enhancing productivity, improving product quality, and driving cost efficiencies. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive results.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to grow their skills and careers at Honeywell
  • Oversee and manage the manufacturing engineering activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and oversee process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly
