Sr. Manufacturing CI Engineer - Mill Tech Services
About The Position
The Sr. Continuous Improvement Engineer supports the mill operations teams by providing process engineering and technical services throughout most areas of the paper mill. These services include data collecting, data analysis, reporting, software system administration and development, field trouble shooting, procedure writing, operations management systems development, lab test procedure development, capital project justification, safety leadership and quality and environmental management. This role is expected to lead continuous improvement projects, mill initiatives and other tasks needed to improve mill operations, reduce costs, improve quality and environmental performance. This role works closely with the Technical and Environmental Manager on various projects needed throughout the mill.
Requirements
- Senior Process Engineer should be strong in data analysis and data analysis tools such as Pi, Excel and Six Sigma concepts.
- This person should also be strong on critical thinking and be able to think outside the box for non-traditional solutions to production issues.
- It is also important to be able to effectively communicate ideas and findings through written reports and emails.
- More than 3 years of relative work experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred degree in Chemical Engineering)
