About The Position

Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents, and Petco partners. We are 29,000 strong and operate 1,500+ pet care centers in the U.S., Mexico, and Puerto Rico, including 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics, and eight distribution centers. The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. Essential Job Functions include managing all inbound POs, providing online exception reporting, and partnering with various supply chain partners to develop operational systems and strategies. The role also involves directing the implementation of TMS enhancements, analyzing data for budget management, and managing multiple associates to ensure compliance with PETCO standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
• 7-10 years progressively responsible experience in transportation or logistics.
• Extensive Transportation Management Systems experience including system implementation.
• Experience in Transportation Carrier management including contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn in-house systems.
• Experience in Oracle or other enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage all inbound POs regardless of terms of sale.
• Provide online exception reporting and management mitigations based on business rules.
• Partner with supply chain partners to develop operational systems and strategies.
• Direct the implementation of TMS enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate multiple project teams to meet Transportation departmental objectives.
• Analyze data to determine appropriate actions concerning budget administration and management.
• Assist with daily maintenance of TMS data uploads and implementation of new carriers.
• Manage multiple associates to ensure compliance with PETCO standards and job performance.
• Interact professionally and effectively with internal and external business partners.
