Principal duties of this position include: Development and maintenance of Merchandise Terminal Playbooks; develop rigorous analytical tools to identify terminal capability and primary bottlenecks; collaborate with multiple parties such as Transportation field leadership, Service Design, CIT, Marketing, and Engineering Services to gain broad alignment; communication with senior leaders to highlight risks and opportunities Development and maintenance of analytical tools and simulation models for terminal, line, and hub capability Identification of capital and operating strategies to enable efficiency and growth To be successful in this position, an individual must possess: Analytical and technical expertise Strong personal and project organizational skills Ability to work independently and drive analyses and projects to conclusion Detailed knowledge of BNSF’s operations Quality focus on deliverables Ability to build and structure presentations at all levels internal / external

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, Engineering, or another quantitative field
• At least three years of relevant work experience in either terminal operations or data analysis and modeling
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to examine/evaluate complex issues
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Working knowledge of BNSF measurement systems and data
• Familiarity, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools
• Familiarity with BNSF’s geographic network and the Transportation Service Plan
• Master’s degree in Management, Logistics, Engineering, or another quantitative field or At least 5 years of relevant work experience in either terminal operations or data analysis and modeling

Nice To Haves

• Preferred analytical skillsets include knowledge of SQL, Python, SAS, Power BI or Simulation
