About The Position

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management in its Talent Enterprise Engineering (TEE) org. TEE is a fast paced, global and dynamic organization that is responsible for building AI and Agentic products, as part of the LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS) line of business. The selected candidate will have demonstrated expertise in building and leading high performance teams that deliver impact at scale. You will work with the leadership team to define, prioritize and drive project portfolios to successful and impactful delivery. You will also establish, measure and manage the right project management governance practices and frameworks within the TEE org and also partnering with other engineering organizations at LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will have an excellent balance of leadership, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given. Influence, collaboration and leadership across functional lines is essential.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience with software engineering practices gained through experience as a software engineer or managing/leading engineering teams
  • Professional experience as a Technical Program Manager or other Engineering Leadership roles

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee a high-impact portfolio of initiatives, aligning engineering priorities, program backlogs, and resource plans with company objectives.
  • Organizational Planning: Lead headcount planning and budget oversight while developing long-term strategic roadmaps with the leadership team. Support organization talent processes and program management.
  • Rhythm of Business (ROB): Drive organizational efficiency by managing the cadence of key meetings, reviews, and cross-functional communications.
  • Change Management: Act as the primary driver for organizational change, proactively cascading information to minimize disruption and maintain engagement.
  • Talent Leadership: As an inspiring servant leader, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs)
  • Force Multiplication: Identify and provide strategic opportunities for staff to close skill gaps and support talent processes.
  • Process Optimization: Champion the use of AI-native tools and automation to boost productivity and engineering excellence.
  • Program Governance: Establish enterprise-level best practices for program management methodologies, tooling, and risk mitigation (clean escalations and resolutions).
  • Stakeholder Representation: Build strong cross-functional partnerships, representing the business area internally and externally.
  • TPM Advocacy: Partner with global TPM leaders to standardize best practices and increase the functional impact of the TPM role across the company.

  • The pay range for this role is $160,000 to $262,000.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
