The Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division is responsible for enabling and evolving Capital One’s foundational cloud infrastructure layer, including observability, connectivity, resilience and availability.

  • Lead large scale complex programs spanning across multiple lines of business and divisions.
  • Partner with both business and product teams to deliver against technology intent for the integration of two highly diverse technology ecosystems.
  • Pave the way for an expanding Technical Program Management (TPM) discipline within the team.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
  • Simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.
  • Ensure deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
  • Facilitate exceptional cross-team collaboration across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
  • 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, preferably using AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs, owning the business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to land business impact.
  • 3+ years of experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering).
