About The Position

United Way Worldwide is seeking a strategic Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition with experience in full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and other talent acquisition skills. This position will manage the full-cycle recruitment process for UWW positions, leading recruitment efforts for senior and mid-level roles and providing oversight for recruitment of junior roles. They will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs in the context of UWW's strategic priorities. Our ideal candidate will seek opportunities to innovate around UWW's recruitment and selection techniques, developing the kind of best-in-class talent acquisition function that will attract star candidates to contribute to UWW's critical mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience
  • Five years of recruiting experience
  • Experience using applicant tracking Systems
  • Proven success and creativity at deploying a wide range of traditional and emerging sourcing techniques, from job boards to social media
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment in a range of circumstances
  • Passion for recruiting with innate ability to instill enthusiasm for the organization into all communications with candidates
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Requires strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, computer, and Internet research skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside candidates, partners, and vendors
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and a clear ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for UWW; proactively source, engage, and maintain strong candidate pipelines for all open positions, and drive efforts to close vacancies with high-quality hires, in a time-effective manner
  • Directly handle recruitment and selection for all senior and mid-level roles, and provide guidance and oversight on the recruitment of entry-level positions
  • Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Serve as a thought partner and subject matter expert to hiring managers, consulting on announcement language and advising on salary ranges, recruitment strategies and selection techniques
  • Foster relationships within UWW to ensure that every step of the hiring process flows smoothly
  • Proactively manage expectations throughout the hiring process while providing ongoing communication both internally and to the candidate to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Prepare any recruitment materials and post jobs to UW internal & external job platforms
  • Source and recruit candidates by using job boards, social media, referrals, in-person fairs and networking events, etc.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports for People & Culture
  • Provide coaching and management oversight to junior-level recruiting staff
