About The Position
Vertex Aerospace LLC, a V2X company, is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Manager to lead the subcontract team supporting the Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) program. This hybrid position is located in Orlando, FL, and will report to the W-TRS Associate Supply Chain Director. The role may require some minimal travel. The successful candidate will manage a team of subcontract administrators and will be responsible for mentoring, training, and evaluating the performance of the team on the program. The Senior Subcontracts Manager will lead the team in support of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontract systems. This includes preparing bid packages, conducting bidders' conferences, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending subcontractors, writing subcontract packages for review, preparing awards, and administering resulting subcontracts. Compliance is paramount in this role, ensuring that supply chain operations adhere to regulatory guidelines (FAR, DFAR) and V2X corporate procurement policies. The individual will be expected to exercise ethical judgment and make sound supply chain decisions while protecting the legal and financial interests of V2X during discussions with customers and suppliers. The position requires the ability to develop solutions to complex problems, perform risk analysis, and maintain strong business relationships with first-tier subcontractors. The Senior Subcontracts Manager will also be responsible for monitoring subcontract performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and providing pre and post-award administration of various contracts. The role demands a high level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
