The Blue Strategy and Transformation team is looking for a Senior Manager, Strategic Transformation, to provide thought leadership that directly advances the strategic priorities of the Business Unit. We are seeking an experienced transformation leader who can build the capabilities, governance, and culture of execution required to drive our business forward. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead Ford Blue’s mission-critical North America Retail Strategy and own the creation of a new Project Management Office (PMO) to support the acceleration of strategy deployment with senior leadership. As the leader of this function, you will design and orchestrate the governance framework that ensures the strategy is executed at the highest level as well as aligning long-term vision of the company with planning and resources. This role offers high visibility to Ford Blue leadership and a clear path to making a significant impact on the business and the future of Ford. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Ford Blue Strategy & Transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience (or Master's degree with 7+ years) in corporate strategy, transformation, or program management.
  • Proven experience owning and leading large-scale transformation programs or building/running a PMO at a global scale.
  • Exceptional executive presence with a demonstrated ability to confidently advise, influence, and challenge senior and C-suite leaders.
  • Deep expertise in the fundamentals of the automotive industry or a related industrial sector.
  • A proven track record as a self-driven leader who challenges the status quo and architects creative solutions to complex systemic issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (for senior executive presentations), Excel (for modeling and data analysis), and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA is preferred.
  • Strong preference for previous roles in a transformation office, corporate strategy organization, or as a senior manager/director at a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading a PMO or Transformation Office, including designing and implementing governance, reporting, and risk management structures from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the North America Retail Strategy: Refine strategy by leveraging data analytics and structured frameworks to develop playbooks that guide business unit priorities
  • Own the Ford Blue Strategy PMO Function: Own the design, implementation, and leadership of a world-class project management function for Ford Blue, establishing it as the enterprise standard for executing strategic initiatives. Provide coaching to initiative owners across Ford Blue, equipping the organization with best-in-class tools and methodologies.
  • Support the General Manager, NA Ford Blue Portfolio: Champion execution of 5-year strategy and 1-year business plans by driving employee communications, establishing KPIs to track performance through daily management systems, and serving as regular interface with facing Business Office leads.
  • Serve as the Single Source of Truth: Own the central repository for the strategic portfolio, serving as the ultimate arbiter of initiative status, risk, and value capture.
  • Orchestrate Executive Governance: Own and orchestrate all executive governance forums (e.g., steering committees, monthly business reviews), ensuring timely, effective decision-making and strategic alignment at the highest levels.
  • Drive Proactive Risk Resolution: Partner directly with Ford Blue senior leadership to anticipate roadblocks and drive the development of robust mitigation plans, serving as the go-to leader for intervention on at-risk initiatives.
  • Champion a Culture of Execution: Act as a senior change agent across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and execution excellence to ensure strategic projects deliver their intended value on time.
