About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in the aerospace industry, headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. We manufacture next-generation engines that power the world’s largest fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters. For nearly 100 years, we have pioneered advancements in engine development, supporting cargo and equipment transportation, wildfire suppression, and passenger travel. The Spare Parts Services (SPS) team manages develops and maintains forecast for new parts to serve the aftermarket, inventory and fulfilling customer needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging data analytics coupled with materials management practices. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with 10+ years experience OR Master degree with 7+ years experience. Field of studies: Engineering, industrial engineering, operations or supply chain management, finance or business-related degrees
  • Strong project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Associate Director of Spares parts planning, the candidate will be an influential leader in the organization and is responsible to be the contact point for the aggregate forecast (ability to understand key forecast drivers and present it to senior leaders, understands supply chain constraints and has the ability to triangulate with the financial plan, shop event plan and new parts forecast).
  • Conduct regular monthly governance meetings with the Planning team and work with them on best practices and strategies for materials planning and SIOP.
  • The candidate will connecting dots with external departments that influence the new part forecast and leads multiple complex projects (Participate in SAP integration, ability to represent the department in various meetings).
  • The role requires strong analytical skills, system level thinking and strong influential leadership.
  • The role also involves analyzing demand trends, collaborating with sales teams for forecasts, planning capacity with manufacturing, and improving materials planning technologies and processes.
  • Additionally, it focuses on tracking metrics for continuous improvement and enhancing supply capabilities.
  • Work with the planning to understand / analyse the 5-year part forecast for spare parts related to an engine model and concisely present the key drivers during SIOP meetings
  • Conduct governance meetings with the team involved in Inventory management, Safety stock and meeting inventory target
  • Leads & participate to multiple meetings in regard to long term planning & shortage resolution (SIOP, MML, Consensus Governance)
  • Systems-level thinking, connecting all facets of the P&WC business, utilizing sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
  • Leveraging and improving adoption of analytics (PowerBi / advanced analytics/AI/UIUX)
  • Influencing others regarding strategies, policies, practices and procedures
  • Presenting to senior and executive leadership (experience is a must)
  • Identify and address process gaps
  • Participate in and drive continuous improvement tasks (process updates, training material creation/updates, business mapping, etc.).
