About The Position

Solutions Architects (SA) provide a bridge between specific business opportunities and the technology solutions which are needed to support them. They require a knowledge of the Enterprise Architecture, as one of their roles is to ensure compliance with the Enterprise Architecture in the project. SA roles are mostly project facing and provide two areas of support: With a business focus, ensuring the solution meets with the business requirements. With an enterprise focus ensuring that the enterprise requirements for reuse, compliance to standards, principles, traceability to enterprise reference models, and alignment with the target enterprise architecture vision. As a Senior Manager, Solution Architect of Marketing Technology at Under Armour, you will work closely with business and Global Technology leaders and will lead the design, development, and implementation of new solutions within the Marketing space including Email Marketing, Customer Service, and AgentForce. You will manage and maintain applications within your portfolio and provide leadership and oversight during the full lifecycle to ensure the deliverables meet the business requirements, meet high standards of quality and adherence to architectural standards. In addition, the Senior Manager, SA is responsible for managing a team of both direct and indirect reports including Developer/Engineers, Leads and Analysts, partnering with business process owners and our Global Tech organization to drive business case development, delivery, and end to end execution against strategic and business unit projects and supporting cross functional squads using agile methodology and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience OR typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree
  • Typically 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or other packaged marketing solutions, including API and 3rd-party system integrations (SOAP/REST).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to assess complex business and technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities, including translating technical concepts into business terms and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Self-starter and proactive team contributor, capable of working independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within global teams.
  • Experienced in program/project management, with a track record of meeting deadlines and leading teams effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL certifications are a plus: SFMC (MCE)/SF Core/AgentForce certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads teams in the design, development, implementation, and support of Email Marketing, Mobile Push, SMS (all SFMC) and Customer Service technology platform (SFSC)
  • Directly drives impacts to revenue and consumer brand impressions by enabling seamless consumer emails, marketing and personalization campaigns experiences and customer service; either through direct development of capabilities or through supporting other initiatives that require touchpoints with platforms
  • Support active projects and agile squads throughout the lifecycle, providing oversight and guidance on development objects and configuration (inclusive of Journey Builder, Ad Studio, MCP, etc.) to ensure efficiency and consistency with original design as well as overall quality of deliverables
  • Oversees the technical design and architectural framework for Under Armour’s Customer Data, Email Marketing and Customer Service technologies and stays current on market trends and product roadmaps of technology platforms to keep Under Armour in front of new capabilities and consumer expectations
  • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent to build a world class team and provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team of business analysts and developers
  • Selects, onboards, and manages performance of distributed team of internal teammates and external vendors including planning, capacity, resource allocation and delivery
  • Manages a direct relationship with key stakeholders including regional product teams and regional revenue teams to ensure their goals are supported through consumer engagement initiatives
  • Collaborates in brainstorming, designing, architecting, and implementing new solutions and code development, as well as suggesting tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance, capabilities, and reliability
  • Directs the development and maintenance of operational procedures for Email/Push/SMS Marketing and Customer Service technologies and infrastructure activities and develops and manages annual budgets as well as project budgets driven within area
  • Owns all interactions with internal and external auditors regarding Consumer Engagement security and data privacy
