This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we’re developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies. As part of a hardworking team of technology professionals, you are invited to join us as a Sr. Manager - Software Engineering. You will lead a small team of software engineers and system administrators who own, operate, and evolve the enterprise application platforms and AWS cloud infrastructure that Blue Origin's workforce depends on every day. You will elevate this team's technical capabilities and operational maturity. A core part of your mandate is transforming the team into an AI-first organization — one that integrates AI tools and techniques into its daily workflows, from infrastructure provisioning and incident response to platform administration and documentation. You will champion the adoption of AI-driven operations as the default way the team works, not an afterthought. Equally critical, you will establish Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) as the standard for all infrastructure provisioning and management — eliminating manual, ad-hoc processes in favor of repeatable, version-controlled, automated deployments. This is a high-visibility leadership role that partners with every area of the company.
