About The Position

The Sr. Manager, SMB Direct Sales is responsible for effectively managing and monitoring the sales of an integrated communication structure to small-to-medium business customers in an effort to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives on a consistent basis. This role assures optimal sales team staffing and training readiness of sales professionals, develops financial and operational objectives, and ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. The position contributes to functional strategy development and has a greater degree of impact on business results, typically managing one or more groups of professional employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Business-To-Business (B2B) Sales.
  • Experience in managing sales teams.
  • Experience in training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and ensures sales results in the direct sales channels by deploying defined sales programs and identifying best practices and process improvements.
  • Maintains expertise on Company's products/services to effectively manage team sales services to small-to-medium business customers.
  • Ensures competence and continuity of qualified small-to-medium business Account Executives through optimum selection, training, and development.
  • Develops, plans, and coordinates sales promotions and incentives to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Ensures team and individual achievement of all sales, plus quality, goals and standards.
  • Monitors employee performance; counsels and advises employees to ensure compatibility and maximum effectiveness.
  • Addresses personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with Company Policy.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and maintains records of individual and group sales and performance activities.
  • Ensures accurate forecasts of annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue and unit metrics.
  • Designs, implements, and manages overall territory team structure.
  • Coordinates efforts with other internal teams and groups to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develops and implements best practices that contribute to improved performance and overall success.
  • Coaches, develops, appraises, and motivates individual sales representatives.
  • Educates sales professionals in sales planning tactics to support their small-to-medium business success.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $77,805.00 - $129,675.00.
  • Targeted Commission: $45,000.00.
  • Potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
