  • Leads and implements strategic action plan with Sales Teams, providing direction on tactics & execution as well as selecting which opportunities to support to maximize ROI
  • Represents the field Sales team in headquarters office
  • Translates the needs of the retailer and connects expectations of the brand to tangible priorities, goals, and guidance to field sales
  • Works closely with field sales to develop 12 - 24-month customer Joint Business Plans
  • Represents Sales function on cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, annual operating planning process, brand strategy development, and joint business planning initiatives
  • Leads the development and deployment of the annual sales plan in partnership with Brand Marketing, including key selling strategies, tactics, and execution in support of the 4 P's for NPIs, brand strategies, and brand campaigns
  • Utilizes insights to create, present, and implement annual Go-to-Market strategy plans including pricing, & promotion guidelines for both new brands and portfolio extensions
  • Attend customer sales appointments with Account Managers, representing Marketing's programs and insights
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 6-8+ years of relevant experience in the CPG industry, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Sales, including Sales Strategy
  • In-depth understanding of Food, Drug, and Mass customers in the VMS market
  • Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams including: Shopper Insights, Customer Marketing, Sales Strategy, eTail, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Innovation, Sales, and Finance
  • Strong project management skills, ability to balance simultaneous projects and requests
  • Strong management, communication, and leadership skills; capable of developing a team that will produce exceptional results
  • Knowledge and experience with syndicated market data and ability to use both qualitative and quantitative data to translate into both internal and external facing presentations
