We are seeking a Senior Quality Manager responsible for quality and compliance operations for production in our manufacturing operations. This leadership role will oversee all site quality activities and initiatives, providing the necessary leadership to ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures. This role is onsite in Coventry, Rhode Island.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; BS in engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of Quality experience and a minimum of 2 years leadership experience.
  • Experience in leading AS9100 compliance efforts, including but not limited to: audits, root cause/corrective actions, FOD prevention, and partnering with other disciplines to continually improve process flows and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Certified Six Sigma Green/Black belt, preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Quality Audit experience.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes and techniques.
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Background in Quality Engineering ASQ Certification (CQE/CQA/CQM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in modification of the Quality organizational structure and is responsible for the development of overall Quality objectives and long-range goals.
  • Acts as a person responsible for regulatory compliance (AS9100) for external Quality Systems Assessment agencies such as Perry Johnston and Bell/Textron Corporate Quality Compliance Auditors and in maintaining site AS9100 certification.
  • Serves as Lead Facility FOD coordinator.
  • Manages training of new Quality team members as well as requisite quality training for all RT team members aligned with standards.
  • Develop, analyze, and report on a variety of Quality metrics and PEAM KPI's aligned with AS9100 standards.
  • Support the senior staff and manufacturing managers to continue to implement a culture of continuous safety and quality improvement.
  • Directs the management of staff, including workforce planning, recruitment, skills and performance assessments, workload distribution, training compliance and documentation, professional development, and corrective action.
  • Advises and coaches supervisors and group leaders, and their staff on technical and operational OFI's.
  • Assists in the application of root cause analysis to diagnose and correct OFI's and audit findings.
