About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting leadership in effectively leading and orchestrating the Tyson Fresh Meats Production Planning Team to achieve financial business and customer satisfaction objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring achievement of: optimized operational efficiencies through forecast accuracy and plant adherence; inventory targets; Order Fill and On Time delivery objectives; effective resolution regarding inventory and production issues. Other duties include: assists in the development and continued improvements of processes and procedures within area to enhance BU objectives and initiatives for increased revenue; assists in the development and training of other team members in the area.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an academic field directly related to this position or equivalent field experience.
6 plus years of industry experience in Planning, Operations or Sales preferred.
Experience in mathematical formulas and calculations to prepare or interpret financial or statistical information
application of original and independent thinking in developing highly complex issues
in-depth skills and thorough understanding of planning procedures and systems and how these interact with other areas.
Strong computer skills
Requires the ability to comprehend and lead planning processes through available existing and potential tools currently utilized in planning area.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills through various levels required
ability to train other team members in the work unit is critical for this position
informal presentations to groups on work-related topics.
Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
display effective and justifiable decision-making abilities
detail oriented trustworthy people oriented and capable of strong leadership for team.
This position may supervise a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities interacting significantly with other areas internally and externally; supervisory responsibilities and assisting in the maintenance and development of other team members in the area is expected.
1-5 domestic trips per year.
