As an Manager of Process Engineering, you will lead the activities of advanced cell manufacturing process (Electrode, Assembly and Formation) control, parameter setting, trouble-shooting, DOE implementation, staff coaching, Cpk improvement, continuous optimization and upgrading of existed line, documentation preparation, also get involved in new process/equipment development, layout planning, capacity balancing, FAT, production ramp-up.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in science or engineering (Machinery, Automation, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering are preferred).
  • 10+ year experience with process engineering.
  • Knowledge of cylindrical cell manufacturing process/equipment technologies is preferred.
  • Deep-in knowledge of cell process, modification and continuous optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity and attention to details.
  • Must be fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of advanced cell manufacturing process control, parameter setting, trouble-shooting, DOE implementation, staff coaching, Cpk improvement.
  • Cultivate process team and train team members to maintain a robust and professional output.
  • Organize the team to solve process issues.
  • Deal with all kinds of parameters setting, solve abnormity, keep good records, continue to improve product yield and quality.
  • Complete the daily confirmation of process status, prevent potential failures, and continuously reduce loss and quality issue.
  • Continuously optimize and upgrade current process.
  • Work with R&D and equipment together to search more reliable and efficient process.
  • Prepare all process related documentation, such as SOP, WI.
  • Manage process/parameter change history for tracing.
  • Evaluate equipment structure, floor layout and capacity balance when doing equipment selection.
  • Develop and stabilize current equipment with development team, external vendors and collaborators.
  • Monitor process related projects status, provide updates, deliver reports/presentations regarding the current and future development activities.
