About The Position

As a Senior Risk Manager at Capital One you'll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. As a Senior Risk Manager for the Premium Products and Experiences team, supporting Capital One Lounges, you will have an opportunity to support a fast growing business through the product development lifecycle from ideation to execution. Requirements

• At least 4 years of Financial Services experience or at least 4 years of Risk Management experience.
• At least 4 years of Project Management experience.
• At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk.
• 6+ years of Financial Services risk management experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Analysis.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Agile or Design Thinking Certified.
• Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
• Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management.
• PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM).

Responsibilities

• Advise and consult with business teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices.
• Support our business partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions.
• Lead risk framework discussions and drive creative solutions to improve the risk profile.
• Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks (e.g. execution errors).
• Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends.
• Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support.
• Set and deliver on our well-managed agenda.
• Support, partner and interact with internal business clients.
• Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams.
