About The Position

As a Sr. Program Manager/PMO, conduct planning, crafting, leading and implementing all vital activities to run the successful execution of retail construction projects. Support a new retail client as they set up their Workplace Environment team. Provide centralized control that results in a collaborative environment with consistent project execution, supply chain and resource management, detailed fiscal governance, and a dedication to innovation. Creating and implementing program and project controls, such as: playbooks, processes, RFP's, contracts, dashboards, trackers, templates, and tools. This individual aims to reduce the risk of defects in all products and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience creating a PMO process and playbook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Six Sigma or equivalent ideal not essential.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Project Controls, Creating implementing templates trackers, dashboards, playbooks.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines.
  • Research and gain understanding of current processes.
  • Formally document and maintain a roadmap for future process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage project pipeline and assign responsibilities to the team.
  • Create and maintain project plans, business cases, and cost-benefit trackers, training, and communication plans.
  • Provide project updates to both clients and Sr management and resolve escalated issues.
  • Identify equipment and systems that can be modified or applied to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and industry trends.
  • Approve the allocation of resources and budget appropriately.
  • Create and review the new scope of work.
  • Adhere to compliance with the Master Service Agreement.
  • Develop and implement a risk management and mitigation plan, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems/processes.
  • Lead team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
