About The Position

McKesson is seeking a dynamic and engaging leader for the role of Outbound Operations Manager for our distribution center (DC) located in the Lehigh Valley (LHV) region of Pennsylvania. The LHV DC is the largest DC in the McKesson Medical-Surgical network with a footprint of 500,000 sq. ft., our warehouse team consists of 400+ team members to support the business. Features within the DC such as automated induction, workflow management, pick to light, and automated storage retrieval systems facilitate meeting those goals. You will have the tools and resources in place to manage a highly successful team of individuals. Initial travel throughout the network to other high volume DCs will be required to increase your knowledge as we plan for the LHV DC go live.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Deep understanding of how all departments within a distribution center function and their interdependencies.
  • Experience with automation and workflow management systems.
  • Strong financial and data acumen; ability to analyze and utilize data to drive results.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal and organization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual is a HUGE plus.
  • 3+ years in an advanced leadership role (Supervisor or above).
  • Experience with loose picking.
  • Experience leading large distribution centers (100+).

Responsibilities

  • Lead large teams over multiple shifts, in a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Manage, train, and develop supervisors and associates through coaching, mentoring, and effective communication.
  • Create employee engagement while building working relationships internally and externally.
  • Deliver top-notch service to customers while achieving performance standards and metrics.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer care, reduce costs, improve service, capacity, and productivity.
