About The Position

The Senior Manager of Procurement will lead the procurement team in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. They will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, the Senior Manager of Procurement will oversee the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards. Lead and work with teams implementing changes to achieve the goals and values of NHA, leveraging system efficiencies and ensuring compliance with processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or field related to this position.
  • 10 years Procurement experience, required.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of contract law and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with large ERP systems (Oracle is preferred); proficiency in related procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of AI and related procurement use cases.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in Supply Chain (CPSM), preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a dynamic team of procurement professionals providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Strategically develop and implement commodity/supply chain strategies to deliver maximum value, leverage, and standardization.
  • Create an overall preferred vendor base which creates a competitive advantage, leveraging spend and technology.
  • Maximize value from suppliers through negotiation, contracts, etc. Manage all activities that develop relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for a defined set of procurement activities such as purchase order volume, commodity activity, and cost savings. Manage department performance to support purchasing requirements of the schools and Service Center.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
