About The Position

The Sr. Manager of Curriculum and Instruction at Cengage Group will lead the development of curriculum and educational resources for Milady, focusing on the beauty industry. The manager will oversee a team of Content Managers and Subject Matter Experts to create high-quality instructional content that enhances learner outcomes and supports student success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Education, Curriculum Development, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years in curriculum design, instructional leadership, or content development, ideally in Ed Tech or the beauty/wellness industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a record of developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize complex projects.
• Proficiency in digital content development tools and learning management systems (LMS).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in adult education or the beauty/wellness industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of e-learning tools and multimedia content integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative curriculum materials and instructional programs tailored to students, educators, and beauty professionals.
• Ensure instructional content aligns with industry trends, state standards, and licensure requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate research, tools, and technology into course offerings.
• Supervise and mentor a team of Content Managers and SMEs in curriculum design and content development.

• Collaborate with industry experts and educators to ensure curriculum meets professional standards.
• Lead curriculum development projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Identify trends in beauty education and incorporate new instructional methods and digital tools.
