Join us for the opportunity to grow and make a difference in ways that matter to you. Role Summary We are seeking a Non-Financial Risk Oversight Senior Manager to join the Enterprise Risk team. This exciting, high visibility role provides independent oversight, review and challenge of key non-financial risks such as operational, strategic, human capital, and reputational. The Non-Financial Risk Oversight Senior Manager ensures these risks are proactively identified, appropriately assessed, and effectively managed in alignment with the company’s risk appetite and long-term strategic goals. The position interacts with all levels of management and senior level executives across many core business areas (ie. CFO, CTO, Global Distribution); therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will report into the Global Head of ERM, who reports directly into the Chief Risk Officer and provide Second Line of Defense (SLoD) services for non-financial risks across the organization. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and be capable of managing multiple and diverse assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management, financial services, or related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end risk management lifecycle, risk frameworks, and governance structures
  • Proven ability to distill complex information into a consumable narrative for an executive and Board level audience
  • Strong understanding of how the use of Artificial Intelligence both introduces risks across a variety of risk categories, as well as provides opportunities for improved monitoring and reporting
  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate risk pathways and devise management strategies
  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to navigate a complex organization and influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Non-Financial Risk Identification: Partner with Business teams, Corporate services, and Risk Management functions to identify and evaluate non-financial risks that may impact achievement of the company's strategy
  • Effective Challenge: (1) Provide oversight and effective challenge of Risk ID and other risk assessments to ensure Divisions are appropriately considering the risks from operational, strategic and other non-financial drivers; (2) Provide expert advice on the quantification and qualitative impact of non-financial risks on the company’s business model or financial performance
  • Assessment: Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Division's risk control and mitigation actions, ensuring they are timely, appropriate, and mitigate key failure modes
  • Governance: Strengthen governance of strategic risk through enhancing policies, routines, or interaction models
  • Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to Business Risk Offices and other stakeholders on the non-financial risk implications of internal strategic choices and external trends
  • Reporting: Draft regular updates to executive management and the Board Risk Committee on changes to the company's non-financial risk profile
  • Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
