About The Position

At LinkedIn, we are seeking a Sr. Manager of New Product Introduction (NPI) to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of complex hardware and infrastructure deployments. This individual will own the end-to-end NPI process, ensuring seamless transition from product concept to volume manufacturing and deployment across LinkedIn's global data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a balance of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong cross-functional leadership. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional technical programs or teams in a high-scale environment.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, including component sourcing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with hardware manufacturing processes, product validation, and production ramp.
  • Experience collaborating with hardware design, reliability, and test engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hyperscale infrastructure and data center hardware (Compute, GPU, Storage).
  • Ability to work closely with C-level executives, particularly in the OxM and Supplier space, to ensure alignment on NPI roadmaps and best in class pricing/availability.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and NPI stage-gate processes.
  • Ability to scale hardware solutions from prototype to global deployment.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing programs involving geographically distributed teams and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction, supply risk mitigation, and process standardization across NPI programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the NPI Lifecycle: Lead the execution of all New Product Introduction programs, managing cross-functional teams through design, validation, ramp, and full-scale deployment of infrastructure hardware.
  • Cross-functional partnerships: Collaborate with Product, Hardware Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain Operations teams to ensure clear NPI milestones, risk mitigation, and timely product launches.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Identify technical and operational risks early and lead to resolution efforts. Coordinate remediation and corrective actions as required.
  • OxM and Supplier partnerships: Establish robust processes to bring new designs into production, engaging early with suppliers and OxMs to optimize for cost, quality, and speed.
  • Lead Hardware Readiness for Scale: Own program timelines, technical readiness, resource planning, and performance metrics across multiple concurrent NPI initiatives including translating engineering prototypes into scalable products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine scalable NPI processes and systems, driving efficiency and repeatability across future hardware development cycles.
  • Risk Management and Escalation: Identify and manage program risks, driving timely resolution of technical and operational issues through structured problem-solving and executive alignment.
