About The Position

About This Role This role is primarily responsible for responding to Medical Information inquiries by creating associated Standard and Non-Standard materials. The position functions in an across-the-globe capacity (beyond that of the typical Local or Global Medical structures). As such, being part of this team means working in an environment with very high operational, scientific, regulatory and compliance-related complexities. This role has secondary responsibility to represent Medical Information as part of cross-functional communication teams. Medical booth staffing at scientific congress meetings is also within the remit of this role. What You’ll Do Create responses to unsolicited Medical Information inquiries. Proactively create Standard Responses for use by the frontline contact center. Training the contact center and the broader Medical team on therapeutic area-specific Medical Information content and processes. Monitor trends in Med Info data and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. Support audit readiness activities. Requirements

  • Advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP) with strong clinical and scientific understanding and training.
  • 3+ years of Medical Information experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, ideally in a Global or Worldwide capacity.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in analyzing large amounts of data while being able to pull the clinically relevant points.
  • Capability to prioritize among many competing deliverables under time constraints.
  • Understanding of and adherence to regulatory policies governing scientific interactions with physicians and patients.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Prior industry experience in a post-marketing setting.
  • Clinical or scientific experience in Biogen’s therapeutic areas.
