About The Position

The Sr. Manager - Marketplace Platform Strategy & Enablement Lead will be responsible for managing and delivering our strategic marketplace roadmap in close partnership with key technology and business stakeholders. This role leads a team dedicated to building critical platform capabilities that enhance both customer and seller experiences, with a strong focus on item setup, content and reviews, item discovery, and shipping optimization. As a key liaison between business objectives and technology execution, this individual ensures the Marketplace remains competitive, future-ready, and aligned with organizational priorities. Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, a blend of strategic and technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally to coordinate the launch of new features and drive value realization from those initiatives. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. Requirements

  • 6 or more years of experience in business strategy, eCommerce, product management, or a related role
  • 3 or more years of people/team management experience operating in a high growth environment
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing product strategies within a business context

Nice To Haves

  • 8 or more years of experience in business strategy, eCommerce, product management, or related role
  • 3 or more years of experience with e-commerce platforms, with prior Marketplace experience strongly preferred
  • 3 or more years of experience leading strategic tech initiatives from inception to value realization
  • Demonstrated ability to work and influence cross-functional teams to drive positive business outcomes
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable making data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

  • Develop the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Best Buy's marketplace platform, with a focus on item/catalog management, product discovery, and post-purchase experiences for both buyers and sellers.
  • Drive key platform initiatives by managing feature development, functionality enhancements, and tooling improvements through business cases, product requirements, and end-to-end project management.
  • Lead annual and quarterly technology planning cycles, serving as the business owner for critical areas of the Marketplace roadmap, including budgeting, prioritization, and value capture.
  • Create and refine Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to translate business objectives into actionable product specifications.
  • Partner closely with strategic vendor Mirakl to influence their three-year product strategy, while ensuring Best Buy maximizes adoption and benefits from quarterly enhancements and new features.
  • Champion process optimization and best practices across Marketplace operations to improve efficiency, seller experience, and overall platform health.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on Marketplace trends, emerging technologies, and strategic growth opportunities.
