Job Title: Sr. Manager, Loss Mitigation Performance Department: Reports To: FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: The Sr. Manager, Loss Mitigation In‑Line Quality Assurance leads real‑time quality reviews of active loss mitigation files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and first‑pass quality before decisions are finalized. This role plays a critical part in reducing defects, rework, and operational risk across loss mitigation operations.

Requirements

5–7+ years of mortgage servicing experience, with strong loss mitigation exposure
Prior experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or risk‑based operational oversight
Working knowledge of loss mitigation programs and servicing regulations
Experience with mortgage servicing platforms (e.g., MSP/Black Knight)
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with litigation workflows, foreclosure timelines, or bankruptcy processes.
Prior GSE, FHA, VA, or USDA servicing experience.
Process improvement background (LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
Strong leadership and team-development capabilities.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Clear and concise communication with stakeholders at all levels.
High attention to detail with strong quality-control mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Servicing platforms (e.g., MSP/Black Knight).
Loss-mitigation decisioning tools.
Data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI preferred).
Document management and audit-trail systems.

Responsibilities

Lead an in‑line Quality Assurance team reviewing active loss mitigation files prior to decision release
Ensure compliance with investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements (RESPA, TILA, ECOA)
Identify and resolve quality issues in real time to prevent downstream defects
Support audit readiness through strong controls, documentation, and QA frameworks
Partner with Loss Mitigation Operations, Training, Compliance, and Quality teams to align standards and expectations.
Serve as a quality subject‑matter resource for operational changes impacting loss mitigation execution.
Ensure QA standards remain consistent across portfolios, investors, and programs.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and process breakdowns.
Recommend procedural updates, control enhancements, and workflow efficiencies to reduce error rates and cycle times.
Participate in new program rollouts, system changes, and pilot initiatives to ensure quality requirements are embedded upfront.
Provide structured, constructive feedback to Loss Mitigation teams to reinforce correct execution and prevent repeat defects.
Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across Loss Mitigation operations.
