About The Position

The Senior Manager of Logistics plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain and transportation operations within the organization. This position is responsible for developing strategic logistics plans that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery across multiple distribution centers and transportation networks. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehousing, and customer service to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics activities. The Senior Manager will lead a team of logistics professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives and leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making. Ultimately, this role ensures that all logistics operations align with the company’s business objectives and regulatory requirements, supporting sustainable growth and customer satisfaction in the transportation and warehousing industry across the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics software.
• Proven experience managing complex logistics operations within the transportation and warehousing industry.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements related to transportation and freight management in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with international logistics and customs regulations.
• Demonstrated success in implementing technology-driven logistics solutions and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
• Manage and mentor a team of logistics managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily logistics operations, including shipment planning, carrier selection, freight cost management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators to identify trends, forecast needs, and implement corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to integrate new technologies and automation tools to enhance logistics capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies.
• Manage budgets, negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors, and monitor logistics expenses to meet financial targets.
