About The Position

The Senior Manager, Inventory Control oversees all activities related to inventory accuracy, control, and reporting. This role leads the inventory and stores teams to ensure materials are properly recorded, stored, and reconciled across systems and physical locations. The manager partners with Supply Chain, Accounting, Purchasing, and IT to maintain accurate data in PMI and other ERP systems, drive process improvements, and support audits. The position focuses on optimizing inventory efficiency, reducing material costs, and strengthening procedures through regular audits, system enhancements, and staff training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent in experience or certification.
  • General knowledge in accounting practices and financial analysis reporting.
  • Verse in business structure, inventory control management and common stores management practices.
  • Verse in implementation, planning, resources allocation, and coordinating functions.
  • 10+ years’ minimum experience in a related field with a proven track record.
  • Create and manage work/cost estimates.
  • Experience with team management and development, with concrete examples of supporting people in their career progression.
  • Experience working with the following systems: Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PMI.
  • Pass a ten (10) years criminal record background check for SIDA badge.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accuracy of inventory, conducting both physical counts and supervision of personnel on the count team.
  • Conduct frequent partial inventory audits to verify the accuracy of computer records.
  • Conduct a complete physical inventory audit at least once a year and as needed.
  • Reconciliation of variances between physical inventory counts and PMI.
  • Analyzes, validates and supports inventory adjustments.
  • Responsible for counting, verifying, correcting, and documenting the movement of all inventories.
  • Update PMI (Inventory System) to reflect physical count making decisions on why the inventory was incorrect.
  • Review personnel errors on inventory with the lead and manager.
  • Generation of inventory reports (Locations, Quantities, and Values).
  • Interface with Accounting and Purchasing to reflect accurate inventory values.
  • Produces reports that other departments or auditors may require for inventory.
  • Test and interface the new PMI system with the old PMI system.
  • Serves as the department liaison on the PMI system.
  • Handle any problems through PMI, that personnel cannot handle.
  • Handle problems with PMI that may need to be upgraded with IT and the PMI programmers.
  • Review ongoing operations of the system to facilitate recommendations for changes to improve procedures for both Stores and Inventory Control.
  • Plan, organize, and execute an inventory system-training program.
  • Produce reports weekly on shelf-life parts, prebin, MIA Inspection, quarantine bins and give to the supervisor for action as necessary.
  • Responsible for overseeing and improving the Materials Stores policies and processes.
  • Maximize efficiencies in both Inventory Control and Stores in order to reduce materials cost.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
