  • Develop a deep understanding of Workday technology and advise on internal controls around new functionality.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills and enhance the integrated control environment using current technology.
  • Ensure SOX compliance in a complex business environment.
  • Build knowledge of the IT environment and proactively identify emerging issues related to internal controls.
  • Coordinate updates to key financial reporting and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with management to plan project timelines, risk assessments, and controls.
  • Develop ideas and communicate knowledge through written and verbal presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the audit process.
  • Direct the controls team in documenting and closing open requests from various sources.
  • 7+ years of experience with SOX, IT SOX, and IPE, preferably in the technology industry.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Public Accounting firm experience with SOX, IT audit, or internal audit/risk assurance functions.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, COSO, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and PCAOB Rules.
  • Experienced in auditing and assessment frameworks and professional standards application.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Technology, or related field.
  • MBA or CPA certification preferred.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
  • Mentoring skills to drive career development and encourage mobility within the organization.
  • High emotional intelligence and nuanced challenging abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
