About The Position
Our client is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in support of multiple Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. This position will be responsible for the management and supervision of personnel and all aspects of their security program and the overall implementation of contractual, legal and regulatory security requirements. This position will also include preparation of security plans, review/enforcement of applicable guidelines, and establishment of procedures for all areas of responsibility which includes coordination with Personnel Security staff, Information Security in coordination with the site Information Systems Security Manager, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, Communication Security (COMSEC), and Program Security. The FSO will ensure that all employees, contractors, or subcontractors who have access to classified, protected or proprietary information and/or facilities and storage areas are trained, knowledgeable, and comply with policies, regulations and procedures specific to the information and areas they have authorized access to and will protect against loss, theft, improper use, unauthorized disclosure or disposal of those assets or information.
