About The Position

As the Senior Manager for Global Indirect Sourcing, you will oversee a team responsible for managing strategic sourcing across the MRO, Capital Equipment, and Facility spend categories. This role requires close collaboration with supply chain leaders throughout Fortune Brands to develop and implement sourcing strategies aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership for category spend. Utilizing advanced negotiation skills, tools, and processes, you will drive transformation initiatives in partnership with Finance and stakeholders from all affected organizational functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement with expertise in sourcing MRO, Capital Equipment, Facilities/Utilities services
  • Strong leadership experience, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven strategic thinker with solid experience developing and executing sourcing strategies
  • Exceptional project management, analytical, negotiation, and contract management skills, including experience with contract redlining and collaborating with Legal
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring accountability and empowering others
  • Extremely customer-focused with strong consultative, presentation, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strategic business mindset with organizational savvy, innovative problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and cultivating innovation
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sourcing and demand management strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership across Capital Equipment, MRO, and Facility spend categories.
  • Lead team of two category leaders focused on MRO and Facilities.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, business objectives, supply requirements, and priorities.
  • Manage and own category strategies, holding accountability for delivering savings within each category.
  • Provide training and coaching to develop a team of direct reports.
  • Build and manage the overall category project pipeline through category expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and securing buy-in.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement procurement strategies, driving compliance throughout the organization.
  • Meet stakeholders’ business requirements by leveraging best practices to deliver value—cost reductions and avoidance, risk mitigation, process improvements, supplier consolidation, and more.
  • Develop and maintain deep subject matter expertise and industry knowledge within the assigned portfolio, offering insights that lead to actionable outcomes.
  • Implement industry best practices through cross-functional engagement.
  • Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and negotiate supplier agreements.
  • Deliver savings and cost optimization initiatives.
