About The Position

The Senior Manager is a key member of the Global Franchise Management & Marketing team, overseeing a dynamic and fast-paced portfolio of beloved WB Horror, WBTV, and Discovery franchises - including IT, The Conjuring, Friends, Gilmore Girls, HGTV, Food Network and more. This role is responsible for driving global franchise strategy and marketing across WB Global Consumer Products (GCP) and Global Themed Entertainment (GTE). Partnering closely with the Vice President, the Senior Manager leads the development of Global Franchise Plans and marketing programs that elevate franchise awareness and cultural relevance. This role requires a strategic thinker and proactive collaborator who thrives in a cross-functional environment, working day-to-day with internal teams (Category, Sales, Creative, Product Development, Legal, International) as well as other WB divisions and external partners. Success in this role requires a passion for the franchises, a sharp marketing instinct, exceptional organizational skills and a polished, executive-ready presence. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, leads with clarity and manages multiple high-impact initiatives with speed, precision and grace - navigating cross-functional teams with confidence and diplomacy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years work experience in a related field required
  • Brand and/or Franchise Management experience required
  • Entertainment or licensed consumer products experience required
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from strategy through execution
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in business/marketing strongly preferred
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives forward
  • Deep knowledge of the assigned franchises - WB Horror, Discovery and WBTV portfolios
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and presentation software programs required
  • Effective and proven management and interpersonal skills are critical
  • Must have sound understanding of strategy development, marketing principles and brand management
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms and media marketing tools
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation
  • Fluent command of the English language required; second language is a plus
  • Must be well organized with effective and proven planning and follow-through skills
  • Calm, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Drives the development and communication of annual CP Global Franchise Strategies
  • Leads the development and execution of franchise activation plans and franchise guidelines
  • Identifies and brainstorms unique ideas and executable programs to drive innovative franchise and marketing plans
  • Works to develop cohesive and synergistic plans across all disciplines within GCP and GTE
  • Oversees day-to-day franchise management of the GCP and GTE businesses
  • Ensures that all franchise plans and marketing activations are designed and implemented to meet specific measurable goals (short term and long term)
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders and departments to develop cohesive initiatives, including but not limited to promotional activities, trade and/or consumer promotions, advertising and other activities
  • Works with Category and Retail teams to identify incremental business opportunities and to increase sell-in and sell-thru of licensed products
  • Partners with international offices to drive regional implementation of franchise strategies and activations
  • Delivers all plans and tools worldwide and in a timely manner - including franchise pitch decks, marketing materials, creative briefs, trade show materials, sizzles, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with Category, Creative and Sales to determine creative strategies for style guides as well as ensuring necessary third-party approvals for all Style Guides and product artwork as needed
  • Participates in licensee meetings, when appropriate
  • Partners with Category to support global licensees and develops best practice strategies to support global and local partners in all categories
  • Manages annual budget and quarterly financial reporting on respective franchise expenditures
  • Builds and maintains relationship with applicable colleagues in sister divisions: Franchise Development, WBTV, Discovery, Global Theatrical, WBIE, WHE etc. to establish a reliable and timely flow of information and materials related to assigned properties
  • Creates licensee and staff messaging as needed to communicate relevant brand updates in a timely manner
  • Aggregates and communicates key performance STATs
  • Ensures smooth day-to-day marketing submission approvals and related processes
