About The Position

Wolverine Worldwide is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support our enterprise-level Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset. This position involves leading processes for strategic plans, annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and other interim outlooks, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in finance or related field
  • Highly analytical with ability to effectively present data and the underlying story to management
  • Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and scenario analyses
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Leads processes for strategic plans, annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and other interim outlooks
  • Drive and influence investment proposal evaluations by partnering with functional leaders and applying financial discipline to ensure robust ROI analysis and sound decision-making
  • Provide actionable insights into the actual performance of investment initiatives to highlight additional opportunities and proactively address risks
  • Manage the financial aspects of the capital expenditure process, including forecasting, tracking, and assessing impact on cash flow and overall financial performance
  • Oversee financial matters related to licensed software agreements, including budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and impact on financial statements
  • Provides strategic financial guidance to leadership team
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct-report Financial Analyst(s), fostering growth in analytical capabilities, business acumen, and career progression
  • Ensures accounting controls and systems are in place to address accuracy, reliability, completeness and proper recording of financial data in accordance with GAAP and other corporate policies
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Performing duties consistent with the Company's AAP/EEO goals and policies
  • Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager
