The Senior Financial Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for working as a part of a team in identifying Finance user requirements and delivering automated technology solutions that effectively and efficiently solve business needs. Fulfilling this mission will enable our team to generate meaningful business insights and accelerate business growth. This job requires individuals to synthesize complex data across multiple, disparate systems such as CRM databases, revenue data warehouses, and other databases (internal and external) that hold useful information. Because multiple projects will be in play simultaneously, candidates must have strong project management skills. This role is also responsible for training the Finance users on new solutions or existing technologies that have not been deployed to their maximum benefit. What you'll do: Identify Finance user requirements and deliver technology solutions that effectively and efficiently solve key challenges Understand complex data that resides in multiple, disparate systems Create and manage a Finance technology roadmap that aligns with enterprise initiatives Use new or existing technologies to build automated reporting and dashboards Drive the success of BI self-service capability by organizing and supporting the group of BI power users across the organization, and ensure easy access to BI tools and data from various sources. Drive the definition, development, communication, and implementation of standards, processes, and procedures for the BI team. Also assist with defining departmental standards, processes, and procedures. Recommend new technologies and implement continued training of Finance users in those technologies Documenting key processes and architecture of new solutions Work with finance, IT, and other business partners to drive the development of the enterprise data warehouse, master data management system, and enterprise reporting and analytics platforms Partner with finance analysts to help automate manual workflows and train them in tools and skills to become self-sufficient as needed Perform rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon findings Simplify complex problems & huge data sets, to extract non-obvious insights Influences business partners to utilize scorecards and dashboards to make data driven decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or similar education from an accredited college
  • Experience in delivering technology solutions that meet business user requirements
  • Experience with commercial and emerging BI databases, technologies, and languages (Microsoft BI stack preferred: SQL Server [SQL], SSIS, SSAS Multidimensional [MDX], and SSAS Tabular [DAX])
  • Experience with self-service ETL/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx)
  • Experience with advanced Excel BI functionality and languages (Power Query [M], PowerPivot [DAX])
  • Experience with data analytics tools and languages (R, Python)
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Strong project management skills and a self-motivated approach
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused
  • Highly collaborative and team oriented
  • Genuine passion for clean and reliable data
  • At least 10 years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Credit Bureau and/or Banking and Lending industry experience
  • Background in Finance, Project Management and/or Billing a Plus
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
